National Consistency Action Group
This Action Group has been established to achieve a strong, nationally consistent application of quality assurance arrangements for the national training system through the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). The specific outputs of this Action Group are:
- A report on the level of national consistency in the operation of AQTF by registering and course accrediting bodies;
- Oversee and monitor implementation of the revised AQTF, addressing findings from the KPMG report – national consistency; improving the audit approach; better understanding of the risk management and complaints handling approaches; and greater industry regulator engagement;
- Full implementation of the Quality Indicators for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) by the end of 2010, including a review of how the Quality Indicators are working at the end of 2009;
- Identification and implementation of Quality Indicators for Registering Bodies.
- Reports from RCABs to the NQC which enable it to monitor the implementation and the continuous improvement of the AQTF;
- Reports on the implementation of the AQTF Excellence Criteria, and
- A report on the External Review of AQTF 2007 to be undertaken in 2010.
