Skills for Sustainability Action Group
This Action Group has been established to enable incorporation of sustainability skills into flexible and responsive VET products and to promote a greater awareness of sustainability issues in the operations of RTOs. The specific outputs of this Action Group are:
- A research/scoping report that includes:
- a “stock take” report of units of competency/qualifications which acknowledge and/or incorporate sustainability skills, and identifies gaps and recommends further development required within and across industries;
- defining a Green Skills Provider and the basis on which standards may be developed for the voluntary certification of RTOs as Green Skills Providers. See below for more information about the draft standards framework.
- a “stock take” report of units of competency/qualifications which acknowledge and/or incorporate sustainability skills, and identifies gaps and recommends further development required within and across industries;
- A progress report to the 12 June MCVTE meeting on progress against the Minister’s reference to the NQC.
See the NQC’s reference to the Skills for Sustainability Action Group for more information.
