Liz Reid is the Executive Officer for
YouthWorX NT. YouthWorX NT provides high-quality, meaningful School-to-Work
transition opportunities for students, families, remote and local businesses
through Partnership Brokerage, Access and Workready programs.
YouthWorX NT works with stakeholder groups to foster a
strategic, whole of community approach that supports young people to stay
engaged in education and realise their full social and economic potential.
Liz has principally
worked in the disability sector for the last 20 years dedicating her career and
community life to maximising the opportunities of people with a disability to
fully participate in society. Liz’s previous position was as the National
Disability Coordination Officer (NDCO) Northern Territory where she worked with
both VET and higher education students and particularly with Indigenous people
with a disability in remote communities.
Liz is on the Board of National VET Equity Advisory
Council (NVEAC) and was appointed to the NQC Board in April 2010.
