Standing Committees
NQC Standing Committees play an important role in driving implementation of the NQC’s Work Plan that in turn meets the Charter for the NQC set by the Ministerial Council for Vocational and Technical Education.
The NQC has agreed there will be three Standing Committees – Training Packages, Quality and VET Workforce Development. Each Standing Committee will oversight a key area of focus and projects as follows:
- Quality Standing Committee - ensures strong, nationally consistent and outcomes-focused implementation of quality assurance arrangements for the system which gives client confidence and deliver the outcomes they expect.
- Training Packages Standing Committee - ensures that Training Packages are flexible and responsive to changing industry and client needs and workplace practices.
- VET Workforce Development Standing Committee - ensures the capacity of the VET Workforce to deliver training to meet the needs of industry and improve the quality and portability of the outcomes of the system for its clients, based on the Australian Qualifications Framework as it relates to the VET system.
